Hey all!
Big news! Both of our sites for this spring are just about filled up! We have begun making waitlists and expect to be able to take a few more students as peoples’ plans change, but right now we’ve accepted just about to our limit for the two sites we have available. We are so excited about the cohorts we’ve accepted and hope to offer some more details on who they are and what they’re bringing to APB as things get solidified.
Meanwhile at camp, we’re enjoying our final month all together. Many students have school off this week, which means quick day trips to the Grand Canyon on Wednesday, Ziplining on Friday, a great trip to Zion National Park, and celebrating a Thursday's holiday as a community.

We couldn't think about this holiday without beginning to pull apart and acknowledge the myths behind it, and Thanksgiving's roots in genocide. Three of our students -- Mickey, Matt, and Suzy -- led us in an acknowledgement of the Yavapai land we occupy, a lesson about the true history of Thanksgiving, and helped us find ways to pay reparations and help Indigenous peoples around us. No matter how this holiday made you feel, I hope you and your family had a safe weekend.
